Our blue planet is heating up, and the sea around us is no exception. Prolonged temperature spikes \u2013 called marine heatwaves \u2013 are challenging marine life, including the important plants and animals that keep our coastal ecosystems healthy.<\/p>\n

We are launching a new citizen science project in the Archipelago Sea, and we would be happy if you\u2019d be part of it! We will kick off with a talk, during which you will learn how these extreme events affect our coastal ecosystems and what science and local communities can do to protect them.<\/p>\n

We are inviting residents across the Archipelago Sea to take part in our citizen science effort. No science background is needed \u2013 just your interest and a connection to the sea. Want to join or learn more?<\/p>\n

This project is supported by SOS, a Centre of Excellence at \u00c5bo Akademi University, funded by the \u00c5bo Akademi University Foundation during 2024\u20132028.<\/h6>\n
