Since childhood I have been interested in marine life and enjoyed being out at sea, as I spent all my summers in the Finnish Archipelago. That let me to study Environmental and Marine Biology at Åbo Akademi University, where I became keen on learning more about climate change and how it will affect marine communities. Currently, I am working on my masters’ thesis with the title “Phenotyping Eelgrass and its herbivore isopod from the Swedish west-coast” with associate professor Christian Pansch-Hattich as my main supervisor. My thesis will be done in conjunction with a larger multinational project at Tjärnö Marine Laboratory, Gothenburg, on the Swedish west-coast.
